Wallet Passes built for a bakery

Challenge

Morning pão na chapa sold itself. Afternoon cakes did not. Regulars paid cash and never joined a list. A paper card for the tenth coffee lived in a kitchen drawer.

Strategy

The Wallet Pass carried coffee stamps and a same-day cake offer after 14:00. A birthday pão-de-queijo pack appeared on the pass. Cashiers issued the pass from a QR on the napkin holder.

Implementation

Morning stamps

Each paid coffee added a stamp. The tenth coffee unlocked a free one on the pass.

Issuing on the counter

A short form on a tablet issued the pass after phone verification. Points appeared the same day.

Afternoon cakes

Guests who had coffee that morning and had not returned by 14:00 received one cake push, valid until close.

Results

During 4 months:

  • Coffee stamps. 69% of regulars installed the pass.
  • Afternoon attach. Cake sales after 14:00 rose by 18%.
  • Birthday packs. 24% of birthday offers were used in-store.

Conclusion

A padaria does not need an app. It needs a stamp and a reason to come back after lunch — both of which fit on a Wallet Pass.
