Wallet Passes built for Fashion Boutique

Challenge

Online buyers and boutique visitors were two separate databases. Store traffic was falling, while website visitors abandoned a look they had saved. There was no polite way to say “this piece is in your size, two streets away” without a heavy CRM campaign.

Strategy

One Wallet Pass covered both channels. Online accounts and in-store receipts issued the same card. Restock alerts, a reserved fitting-room slot, and a geo offer when the guest was near a boutique turned website browsers into store visitors — and store visitors into repeat online buyers.

Implementation

One pass for two channels

Checkout on the website and the till in four boutiques both issued Wallet Passes into the same client profile. Size, favourite category, and current bonus travelled with the pass.

Abandoned looks

If a logged-in guest left items in the bag for 24 hours, a push offered to reserve the look in a nearby boutique instead of only repeating the website discount.

Near-store invitations

Guests who opted into location received a push when they were close to a boutique that had their size in a watched item. Staff saw the same client in the CRM and could prepare the fitting room.

Results

After 5 months:

  • Online to store. Boutique visits from existing online customers grew by 21%.
  • Repeat across channels. Omnichannel repeat purchases rose by 17%.
  • Geo conversion. 11% of near-store pushes led to a same-day visit or reserved fitting.

Conclusion

The retailer no longer needed two loyalty schemes. A single Wallet Pass carried the bonus, the size profile, and the invitation to walk in — which is what a boutique can do better than a parcel.
