Challenge
After checkout, guests vanished into email newsletters they never opened. The spa and in-house restaurant had spare capacity during the stay, and return bookings were left to booking.com. Front desk still printed paper welcome cards that were thrown away in the room.
Strategy
A Wallet Pass was issued at confirmation, not at checkout. Stay dates, room type, and a spa credit sat on the pass. During the stay, guests received one relevant push a day at most: breakfast hours, a spa slot, or a late checkout offer. After departure, a return-stay bonus appeared on the same pass instead of a new email sequence.
