Wallet Passes built for Wine Club

Challenge

Club members forgot tasting nights. Favorite bottles sold out before the shop could tell the people who always bought them. Email newsletters were opened on Sundays, after the tasting.

Strategy

The Wallet Pass showed the next tasting date and a restock flag for wines the member had bought twice. A push went out 24 hours before a tasting and again when a watched bottle returned.

Implementation

Club on the pass

Signup at the tasting table issued the Wallet Pass. Remaining club bottles and the next event sat on the front.

Tasting reminders

Members received one push the evening before. If a seat opened, a nearby segment was invited first.

Restock alerts

When a bottle the member had bought twice came back, the pass showed it for 72 hours. No generic “new arrivals” blast.

Results

After 6 months:

  • Tasting fill. No-shows at club nights dropped by 38%.
  • Restock sales. 19% of restock pushes converted within three days.
  • Club retention. Renewal of the six-bottle club rose by 17%.

Conclusion

Wine club dates and restocks belong on a pass people already open — not in a newsletter they read after the cork is pulled.
