Working with triggers

A trigger runs an action for customers on its own: it sends a push, changes the card template, adds balance, or writes a new field value. You can limit the action to a segment or apply it to the whole database.

The Triggers section is available on the Advanced and Expert plans. Cards in the cabinet must be activated before you can create triggers.

Set up a trigger

1. If the action should not cover the whole database, create a segment first.
2. Open Triggers and click Create trigger.
3. Enter a name.
4. Choose a segment or Whole database.
5. Choose an activation and fill in its settings.
6. Choose an action and specify what it should do.
7. Turn the trigger on and save it.

Activation

• On entering a segment — the action runs when a customer starts matching the segment conditions.
• On birthday — set how many days before the birthday to run the action, and the time. Delivery can take up to 24 hours.
• X days after the card is created — set the number of days and the time. Delivery can take up to 24 hours.
• On a date — set a date and time in the future, at least 15 minutes ahead. Delivery can take up to 24 hours.

Actions

• Send a push — choose a push you have already created.
• Change the template — choose a template. For birthday, date, and “X days after the card is created” activations, you can also set after how many days to remove that template.
• Add balance — enter the amount to add.
• Change a field — choose a custom field and the new value. Fields are added in Settings → Variables.

If the Telegram or web push modules are enabled, the action list also includes sending to the Telegram bot and sending a web push.

Priority, a test run, and deletion

The higher a trigger sits in the list, the higher its priority. Drag a row to change the order.

The Test button runs the trigger immediately. The action is performed for the customers who match the settings.

You can turn a trigger off without deleting it. If a push linked to the trigger is still queued, turn the trigger off first and delete it after that.
