Add fields to the signup form
On the Fields tab you turn on the built-in questions and add your own. The field type decides what the customer sees and how the answer is checked.
Add a field
- If the variable does not exist yet, create it in Settings, on the Variables tab. The name uses Latin letters and no spaces. See Add a custom field.
- Open Issuing cards and the form you need.
- Open the Fields tab and click Add field.
- Set the display name, variable, and field type.
- Make the field required and turn it on if you need to.
- Click Ok, then save the form settings.
To edit a field, click its name. Drag fields to change their order. A field appears on the form when the toggle in the Status column is on. The Required checkbox stops the customer from continuing until the field is filled in.
The form already includes system fields: first name, last name, middle name, phone, email, date of birth, gender, promo code, agreement, and the continue button. You cannot change their variable or type. Phone, first name, and agreement stay on and required. The email field stays required.
String
The customer enters free text: a comment, a city, a loyalty number from another program, or any other short value.
Phone
An extra field for a phone number. The number the customer confirms during verification is the system phone field. Its format is set on the Parameters tab.
Checkbox
The customer ticks a box. The display name is the label next to it. Use it for marketing consent, an age confirmation, or agreement with promotion rules.
- External link. If you enter a URL, an icon appears next to the label. The link opens in a new tab: a consent text, an offer, or rules.
- Checked by default. The box is already ticked when the customer opens the form.
- Required. The customer cannot continue until the box is ticked.
Date
The customer enters a date as dd.mm.yyyy. Dots and hyphens both work: 06.10.2026 or 06-10-2026.
List
A dropdown. For each item, set the label the customer sees and the value stored in the variable. A list can have up to 20 items. The system Gender field has a fixed set of items, and that set cannot be changed.
Checks that the value is an email address. The system email field cannot be made optional.
Regular expression field
The answer must match the expression you enter in the field settings. The check runs when the field is required or when the customer types something. In Error message, write the text the customer sees if the value does not match. Use this for a contract number, a tax ID, a promo code with your own pattern, or any other code with a known mask.
Promo code
The promo code field is set up separately: Promo code field setup. Promo code is visible and the customer can fill it in. Hidden promo code is not shown on the form: the code comes from the signup link. Hidden promo code is available on the Base plan and above.
Shared settings
- Display name — the text the customer sees.
- Variable — where the answer is stored. One variable can be used in only one field.
- Error message — the text shown when the value fails the check.
- Required and Status can be set in the field window and in the table on the Fields tab.
